Project Objectives
Implement approved urban and transport planning: concretize the Hanoi Capital Master Plan and Hanoi Transport Plan to 2030, vision to 2050, as approved by the Prime Minister, and comply with the Detailed Plan for Northern Inland Waterway Ports to 2020, with orientation to 2030, approved by the Ministry of Transport.
Develop a container port with functional areas capable of handling large-scale waterway cargo transport, while considering Hanoi city’s national defense requirements, and helping reduce road transport load. Efficiently utilize land outside the river floodplain.
Determine land-use structure according to the functional zoning in the planning, and ensure synchronized connection of technical infrastructure with neighboring areas.
